Key Functions and Related Tasks |
Key tasks | APEA Board of Directors
Organize and conduct APEA Board meetings Prepare and disseminate Board meeting minutes Provide necessary updates to APEA Board
APEA General Meetings and election of Board Members
Organize and conduct Annual General Meetings Manage the process of election of APEA Board members
Membership
Liaise with members and provide updates to them Update annual membership including fee collection Promote new members to join APEA Support inactive members to engage with APEA
Asia Pacific Regional Evaluation Strategy implementation
Organize and conduct theme meetings Support events organized by themes including webinars and other virtual events Organize the Sixth APEA Conference and EvalVisionAsia 2027
Manage Asia Pacific Journal of Evaluation (APJE)
Prepare & disseminate call for papers Coordination with the editorial board Organize editorial board and advisory board meetings Coordinate the review process Coordinate with copy editors and designers to publish the journal issues
Support to manage partners and donors
Manage donor-funded projects, including implementation in consultation with the Secretariat Manager Liaise with APEA sponsors, funders and donors regarding reporting requirements and process narrative/ financial reports as scheduled in consultation with the Secretariat Manager
Any other relevant work assigned by the APEA Board

Educational & Professional Qualifications |
Education | A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university |
Experience | A minimum of three years experience in coordinating or implementing projects at the national or regional level (volunteer and internship experience counts) Proven experience in a role similar to this one (i.e. providing support to a (professional) association) is considered an asset

Network experience | Membership of a National VOPE/ EY chapter in the region. Volunteering experience within the global/ regional/ national VOPE ecosystem Experience in organising teams of events, especially international conferences.

Core competencies | Must be able to work with diverse teams and have good interpersonal skills Ability to build and maintain partnerships Good writing and communication skills in English Good understanding of the evaluation field from local to regional/global level, its networks, and its current challenges Experience in organizing virtual and in-person events/ workshops is an advantage
