Developing Case Studies - Using Evaluation to Inform VNRS: Documenting Best Practices in the Asia Pacific Region
This research aims to document promising and/or good practice examples of countries in the Asia Pacific region that have successfully integrated evaluation into VNR processes to improve the quality, utility, and relevance of SDG reporting.
Specifically, the research will:
Document practical experiences and innovations from selected countries in AP
Identify institutional, methodological and governance approaches that enable the systematic use of evaluation in VNRs
Analyze enabling and hindering factors to the use of evaluation evidence in VNRs

A STUDY ON THE STATUS OF M&E PRACTICES ON SDGS IN SELECTED COUNTRIES IN THE ASIA PACIFIC REGION This study was initiated by the Using Evaluation to Report on the SDGs Thematic Group primarily to determine the status of M&E practices for SDG implementation among countries in the Asia Pacific Region. Specifically, the study sought to answer the following research questions:
What are the institutional frameworks and mechanisms in place to monitor and report progress on achieving the SDGs among countries in the Asia Pacific?
What is the current practice of monitoring and evaluating the implementation of SDGs among countries in the Asia Pacific?
What are the gaps, and what support is needed by countries to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation of the SDGs in the Asia Pacific?
